Yes is a word we use often, only second to no. The power of yes is to open us up, to make us committed to a goal or action. It is a gateway to the will, offering a shift in reality.  Saying yes begins an energetic action created by will, making a commitment to a thought, an action, even a contract.  It opens you up to possibilities and probabilities of the future. So being able to say yes is very freedom giving.

Yes is the single most imprisoning word. It creates an obligation in its utterance, Within these choices are consequences. It is the word’s hunger, the societal demand of when you say yes, it will be fulfilled. It may not be your yes, but that of others who impact you. Mothers and fathers for children, bosses for employees, and lovers for the other. So many way yes is used to ensnare.

The law defines a yes, not by voice, but my sigil or signature. If you sign a yes, the great forces of the law can further enforce it.  A vote is a yes that allows politicians create law which can be enforced against you or for you. Yes, creates structure, both to your life and in the culture around you.

So be careful with yes, and learn to hold yes of others accountable. Yes, from a being be it flesh or spirit is essential to your good magical health. Saying yes is your gateway to your will.
