What will be shared?
One of the challenges of being a pagan today is how to live and be in a world that is on the brink of ecological crisis. While we see the earth as sacred and hold the land in reverence, we also live in a time when human behavior is threatening all life on this planet. The question many of us are asking is—how can we use our own magic and skills to heal the earth? What does that healing look like? This presentation offers an introduction to land healing as a spiritual and magical practice for neopagan practitioners. The presentation offers a holistic land healing framework and specific tools for you to learn to heal the earth—physically and metaphysically, including through rituals and energy work.
About Dana O’Driscoll
Dana O’Driscoll has been an animist druid for almost 20 years, and currently serves as Grand Archdruid in the Ancient Order of Druids in America (www.aoda.org). She is a druid-grade member of the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids and is OBOD’s 2018 Mount Haemus Scholar. Dana took up the path of land healing because of the deep need in her home region of Western Pennsylvania, which is challenged by fracking, acid mine drainage into streams, logging, and mountaintop removal. Dana is a certified permaculture designer and permaculture teacher who teaches herbalism, sustainable living, and reciprocal foraging practices. She is also an artist working with nature-based and magical themes. Her works include the forthcoming Land Healing: Physical, Metaphysical, and Ritual Approaches to Healing the Earth, Sacred Actions: Living the Wheel of the Year through Earth-Centered Sustainable Practices, the Sacred Actions Journal, the Tarot of Trees, the Plant Spirit Oracle, and the TreeLore Oracle. She lives on a 5-acre homestead with her partner and a host of feathered and furred friends. She writes at the Druids Garden (www.thedruidsgarden.com) and is on Instagram as @druidsgardenart.
