Materials: paper and pen; old key you no longer need, a place to bury something in the ground
Send a bad habit to the underworld for Hecate to lock away. On a piece of paper, write out the details of the bad habit you wish to lock away; when it started, why you do it, what you like about it, what you hate about it, and most importantly: why you are banishing it from your life. Take a few minutes to reflect on how this bad habit has affected your life and those around you. When you are ready, speak a simple invocation, such as:
“Hecate of the Underworld, I call upon you now. (Say the bad habit) has died from my life, I ask you to take it now to the realms of the dead and lock the door behind you! Never let (the habit) return to me. So mote it be!”
Or use your own words. When your invocation request is complete, dig a small hole in the ground and lay your bad habit paper to rest. Place the key on top of the paper to lock it away. Cover the deceased habit with dirt. Walk away from your bad habit and never take it up again.
