Louis Garou: I grew up in the hollows and shadows of the ancient Appalachian mountains. I lived on my family's farm. I am forever marked by that upbringing. I was asked to leave the church because I asked too many questions.  Witchcraft became my Church. It has remained my Way for over fifty years. Most of the material I write and perform is associated with my dreams of shadows and thoughts about my dark view of life.  My material follows Witches, Demons, and a pair of serially reincarnated lovers cursed to love and die eternally. Those Dark Lovers are a thread in many of my songs. They have had many names over the centuries, but I came to know them as Wolf and Darkness. I see them frequently in my dreams.  I know much about them. I know she is the Queen of Wolves, and he, her consort. I know he once drowned when a sailing ship sank and she was inconsolable. Until she found him, once again. I know their real names. The names they were cursed by... Sometimes curses and blessings are indistinguishable.

They live now in this time... Walking this world, just like every other mortal. If you saw them, and looked at them you would see they are... different. If you have heard my songs you might recognize them. Don't look at either of them too long

I write and sing of Lilith.  Many of us are Daughters and Sons of Lilith. Lilith our Ancient Matriarch, who will not be subjugated by men or their god .  She is the real archetype of the Mother. We need more people to recognize Her truth and spirit. Especially these days.

I call my music Dark Americana. I make no apologies for the Darkness.  Or the Madness of the Tower Times (See Byron Ballard and her books).

So, I embrace my Darkness and live in the Shadows and Darkness of the world around us... A world gone mad. I write and play about my dreams and realities in this mad, mad world..

Krista Chapman Green

“A native Texan, I finally found my forever home twelve years ago in the foothills of Arkansas. With that move, a huge shift started within me that there was no escaping and I am thankful for those changes every day. As a long time solitary practitioner of a nature based eclectic path, I found the healing spaces and places that fit the pieces of my soul back together like a puzzle. My two greatest loves, writing and music, began to flow together in the perpetual beauty of this place that is now home to my heart

I often picture the history of my life like a shattered mirror, and my songs are the stories of every broken shard. Every memory is one glinting piece of the whole, and like a kaleidoscope, all those broken pieces have been rearranged, creating beauty as the light shines through. My life and the lives of so many others that have touched me

along the way are hidden here in the words and melodies of my songs. Stories of hope, despair, joy and love, with Those I follow and Those I am still learning so much about. Thank you for joining me on my journey, may you find comfort and laughter, strength and even tears in my songs, stories from a wandering heart..."
